\n\tI joined Twitter. Not because I am curious what this celebrity has to say about her kids, or to read that another one is waiting for a connecting flight, impatiently. Twitter allows me to follow news and commentary sources such as Dow Jones' Marketwatch<\/span>, Bloomberg News and the Wall Street Journal. It assists me in keeping up with what is happening across the globe, while I am observing and analysing<\/span> financial markets myself.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile I am on Twitter, reading a quote here and a news flash there, I offer my own succinct insights and commentary. Those amongst you who have already discovered the virtues of a Twitter account can add my Tweets to their daily news via @filapek<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor those who have no intention to join Twitter, but would like to stay up to date, below are my Tweets from the week past:<\/p>\n

\n\t– Surprising, maybe, but Macquarie states it's still not too late to jump on the #<\/s>CSL<\/span><\/b><\/a> rally. Next 2-3 years should see double digit growth<\/p>\n

\t– BAML<\/span>: Expect no big stimulus from #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a>, but Beijing will definitely roll out more easing and stimulus measures to support econ<\/span>+fin markets<\/p>\n

\t– UBS lifts year-end target for #<\/s>ASX200<\/span><\/b><\/a> to 4600 with preference for #<\/s>ironore<\/span><\/b><\/a> and #<\/s>gold<\/b><\/a> exposure. Concedes might be too conservative<\/p>\n

\t– Citi<\/span> advises being Overweight Asia ex-Japan<\/span> and Australia. Likes mining stocks. Avoid Japan and avoid continental Europe<\/p>\n

\t– Citi<\/span> strategists move Overweight US equities. Forecast 9% return global equities by end 2013, but admit risks are to downside of projection<\/p>\n

\t– #<\/s>ironore<\/span><\/b><\/a> rally running out of steam? iron ore price fell by US$1.90 or 1.6pct to US$115.80 a tonne<\/span> after three days up<\/p>\n

\t– Remarkable: Macquarie puts ASX200<\/span> target for Oct 2013 at… (wait for it)…4542. Believes most of earnings growth is already priced in<\/p>\n

\t– Goldman Sachs acknowledges: no question global growth slowing and the tone of earnings season is that corporate results are going to be down<\/p>\n

\t– Report technical analysts at Barclays: #<\/s>DJIA<\/span><\/b><\/a> ("Dow Industrials") confirms short-term double-top and further near-term weakness<\/p>\n

\t– #<\/s>ironore<\/span><\/b><\/a>: trend is your friend? Spot iron ore price up by US50c<\/span> or 0.4pct to US$117.70\/t – 3 days up since #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> returned from holidays<\/p>\n

\t– Guest Post: The Unstimulus<\/span> http:\/\/<\/span>tinyurl.com\/9eado78<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\t– Morgan Stanley analysts believe things are shaping up for a very big revenues quarter for Woodside Petroleum (WPL<\/span>) – re-rating ahead?<\/p>\n

\t– Daily #<\/s>SPI<\/span><\/b><\/a> top 200 #<\/s>ASX<\/span><\/b><\/a> analysis: 7% oversold (very low), 54% overbought (highest in 2012) and 68% of #<\/s>stocks<\/b><\/a> above their LT moving avg.<\/p>\n

\t– BAML<\/span> believes the era for bond outperformance<\/span> has come to its end. Can 2013 bring The Great Rotation back into equities? ("possibly")<\/p>\n

\t– Says BA-ML: AGM<\/span> season might bring out warnings as forecasts remain too high. Candidates include SEK<\/span>, AIO<\/span>, QRN<\/span>, TOL<\/span>, JBH<\/span>, HVN<\/span>, WES & TLS<\/p>\n

\t– #<\/s>Ironore<\/b><\/a> may fall back below US$100\/t in 2013 as global slowdown hurts demand; #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> Metallurgical Industry Planning & Research Institute<\/p>\n

\t– UBS sees short term downward pressure on crude oil, is not enthusiastic about base metals and believes #<\/s>gold<\/b><\/a> remains the best commodity bet<\/p>\n

\t– Spot #<\/s>ironore<\/b><\/a> on a rocket post #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a>'s Golden Week: up by another US$6.80 or 5.8% to US$117.20 a tonne after lifting 5.6% on Monday<\/p>\n

\t– Reports JP Morgan: "quality" has started to underperform in global equity markets. Early stages for The Big Switch?<\/p>\n

\t– BAML persists: #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a>’s weakening industrial outlook will weigh on the commodities cycle. Cautious towards resources services providers<\/p>\n

\t– Says NAB: odds improving for US to avoid fiscal cliff (good for risk sentiment) but doubtful US will avoid negative ratings actions in 2013<\/p>\n

\t– JP Morgan maintains #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> GDP to bottom in Q4. Estimates 7.6% growth for 2012 and 8% (from 8.3%) for 2013. Moderate improvements ahead<\/p>\n

\t– #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> returns from Golden Week holiday and what happens to the spot #<\/s>ironore<\/b><\/a> price? Up by US$6.20 or 5.6% to US$110.40 a tonne<\/p>\n

\t– Concludes BAML: #<\/s>Chinese<\/b><\/a> GDP growth likely bottomed in 3Q, but risks remain skewed to the downside. Fed's #<\/s>QE3<\/b><\/a> will not create inflation<\/p>\n

\t– RBS revises in-house view: RBA to cut cash rate 2x this year to 2.75% and AUD\/USD to fall to 0.96 and stay there throughout 2013<\/p>\n
