\n\tI joined Twitter. Not because I am curious what this celebrity has to say about her kids, or to read that another one is waiting for a connecting flight, impatiently. Twitter allows me to follow news and commentary sources such as Dow Jones' Marketwatch<\/span>, Bloomberg News and the Wall Street Journal. It assists me in keeping up with what is happening across the globe, while I am observing and analysing<\/span> financial markets myself.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile I am on Twitter, reading a quote here and a news flash there, I offer my own succinct insights and commentary. Those amongst you who have already discovered the virtues of a Twitter account can add my Tweets to their daily news via @filapek.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor those who have no intention to join Twitter, but would like to stay up to date, below are my Tweets from the week past:<\/p>\n

\n\t– Oz stockbrokers today: Upgrades for Ansell, Alumina Ltd, Lynas and Treasury Wine Estates; Downgrades for Ausdrill and Cabcharge. More up!<\/p>\n

\t– A thought: financials have outperformed this year, tech and resources have lagged. Signal the new era of "yield" focus has already arrived?<\/p>\n

\t– Oz Stockbrokers today: Upgrades for Base Resources (BSE), Kingsgate (KCN) and St Barbara (SBM). DB initiates Cardno on Hold. Citi likes gold<\/p>\n

\t– Credit Suisse warns short term market consensus for #<\/s>Fleetwood<\/b><\/a> seems overly optimistic. Longer term there's value, but with question marks<\/p>\n

\t– Experts continue reducing #<\/s>copper<\/b><\/a> price forecasts. Today's it's CIMB (former RBS). Still upside seen, but less than previous projections<\/p>\n

\t– Apparently, 2012 marks the worst Thanksgiving week performance for US equities since records held in 1942, but charts positive short term<\/p>\n

\t– Prominent economist Ian Harnett in today's AFR: "Government bonds are becoming the ultimate bubble". Something to think about, for sure?<\/p>\n

\t– Off the radar (for now) Chinese equities at new lows ("double bottom") http:\/\/<\/span>goo.gl\/zKRfl<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/a> #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> #<\/s>equities<\/b><\/a> #<\/s>commodities<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

\t– Oz Stockbrokers today: Adelaide Brighton upgraded, downgrades for CSL, Fletcher Building, Primary Healthcare and Insurance Group Australia<\/p>\n

\t– #<\/s>China<\/b><\/a> import #<\/s>IronOre<\/b><\/a> Fines Fe62 closes down US$2.20 to US$120.60, a loss of 1.79%<\/p>\n

\t– Equities decoupled from EPS revisions pre-US Election, so what now? Citi analysts believe EPS estimates still too high. Equities down?<\/p>\n

\t– Here's the shock for all the oil price bulls out there: Danske Bank predicts oil prices should head consistently below US$100 late next year<\/p>\n

\t– Oz stockbrokers today: multiple downgrades for Boart Longyear, upgrades for Arrium, NAB, SingTel and Fletcher Building<\/p>\n

\t– In case anyone still cares: spot #<\/s>ironore<\/b><\/a> price unchanged at US$122.80 a tonne<\/p>\n

\t– GS downgraded Flexigroup (FXL) to Neutral. Stock is up 103% since Jan 2011 and up 80% over past 12 mths. Every value proposition has ceiling<\/p>\n

\t– EUR Crashes after MOODY'S DOWNGRADES FRANCE'S GOVT BOND RATING TO Aa1 FROM Aaa – Maintains Neg outlook<\/p>\n

\t– GS initiated coverage Fantastic (FAN) with Buy rating, projecting 20% total return for year ahead as stock likely to re-rate on 10%+ growth<\/p>\n
