Not because I am curious what this celebrity has to say about her kids, or to read that another one is waiting for a connecting flight, impatiently. Twitter allows me to follow news and commentary sources such as Dow Jones&#039; Marketwatch, Bloomberg News and the Wall Street Journal. It assists me in keeping up with what is happening across the globe, while I am observing and analysing financial markets myself.<\/p>\n<p>While I am on Twitter, reading a quote here and a news flash there, I offer my own succinct insights and commentary. Those amongst you who have already discovered the virtues of a Twitter account can add my Tweets to their daily news via @filapek.<\/p>\n<p>For those who have no intention to join Twitter, but would like to stay up to date, below are my Tweets from the week past:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;&nbsp;Participate in FNArena&#039;s Investor Sentiment Survey for July (only takes up a few minutes) <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/13PTbq3\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/13PTbq3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Macquarie: further rate cuts needed in #Australia to sustain RBA stimulus currently in place, and guard against material slowing in growth<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Macquarie: #nickel market has been in large surplus so far in 2013. Without significant production cuts will remain in large surplus 2014<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rudi Filapek-Vandyck: dealing with investment climate change and finding all-weather performers <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/0NhcQ\">http:\/\/goo.gl\/0NhcQ<\/a>&nbsp; #TradeInvestSyd<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Standard Bank: recent trends indicate that physical #gold demand from China eases above US$1,300\/oz, puts with strike at US$1250 popular<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; One of best performing stocks on ASX, McMillan Shakespeare (#MMS), has been struck by regulatory risk. Now uncertainty will rule its outlook<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; CBA thinks current steel production in #China unsustainable, but if current growth rate continues, #ironore prices forecasts need increased<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Overnight: quiet volumes with equities lower, oil stable and most commodities higher as USD fell. #China spot #ironore up 1.7% to USD129.0\/t<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; With both spot #ironore, AUDUSD moving counter-expectations, BA-ML has put through significant FY14 EPS upgrades for junior iron ore #miners<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; UBS expects subdued commodity prices in 2013-15 (after cutting forecasts) as macro backdrop has further deteriorated. #BHP preferred<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Macquarie: downgraded entire growth profile for #China. Hence downgraded 2013 GDP growth forecasts for ASEAN region. AUDUSD cut to 86c FY14<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Citi rates most OZ #HealthCare stocks Sell as PE multiples are too high and upside growth surprises (probably) absent. ResMed preferred<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Citi (also) (again) lowers #commodity prices forecasts. Advises &quot;curb your enthusiasm&quot;, it&rsquo;s probably still not time for bottom-fishing<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; CBA latest to (again) cut #commodity prices forecasts on the back of stronger USD projections for years ahead. AUD weakness providing relief<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; #China #ironore remains in its own space. Base #metals all down overnight, but Fines 62% up 0.10c to US$126.90\/t. Oil up, gold stable<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; NAB sticks with 7.5% GDP growth forecast for #China this year. Monetary policy likely to remain tighter for longer, with downside risk<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; ANZ Bank believes #China supportive policy action is forthcoming and will support GDP growth 7.6% for the full year<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Danske Bank lowers 2013 #China GDP forecast to 7.4% (below official target of 7.5%), maintains Beijing reluctant to add stimulus<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; BA-ML believes Oz discretionary retailers at risk of big profit drags due to AUDUSD hedging at parity and currency now at 90c #equities<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Macquarie cuts #China base case GDP growth forecast to 7.3% (7.8%) 2013, to 6.9% (7.5%) 2014 as result of structural problems within economy<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Next!
