It’s a busy week on the global economics calendar next week as we change months.<\/p>\n

This means the usual round of PMI data, beginning with official Chinese numbers for both manufacturing and services on Tuesday, followed by everyone else posting manufacturing on Wednesday and services on Friday.<\/p>\n

It also means jobs week in the US, with data releases leading up to Friday’s non-farm payrolls including pending home sales and house prices, consumer confidence, personal income & spending along with PCE inflation, construction spending, factory orders, private sector jobs and the trade balance.<\/p>\n

The US earnings season continues next week.<\/p>\n

The Fed meets on Wednesday with no rate change expected.<\/p>\n

The BOJ in Japan meets on Tuesday amidst speculation of a shift in policy and the Bank of England meets on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The eurozone reports a first estimate of June quarter GDP on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

In Australia we’ll see building approvals, private sector credit, retail sales and the trade balance.<\/p>\n

The last days of July mean the last of the resource sector production reports, with Independence Group ((IGO)), Syrah Resources ((SYR)), Alacer Gold ((AQG)), Infigen Energy ((IFN)), Origin Energy ((ORG)) and Regis Resources ((RRL)) all reporting.<\/p>\n

The tick over into August means the local results season is upon us. Numbers are due next week from Credit Corp ((CCP)), Freelancer ((FLN)), BWP Trust ((BWP)), Janus Henderson ((JHG)), Rio Tinto ((RIO)) and ResMed ((RMD)).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
