Forget about the past.
FN Arena News is all about the here and now, and we are 100 percent focused on the future.
Here it is where four journalists are living their dream: to bring you the finest financial news stories in a down to earth, easily accessible style while keeping their fingers on the pulse of the Australian share market.
We are as independent as anyone could ever interpret the meaning of the word: no ties with a stockbroker or share market tipsheet, no support from one of the media moguls in or outside the country. Just four journalists on a mission.
We have a track record. And we have a dream. Our vision is one that takes financial journalism out of its cocoon of dull reporting full of highly technical terms only the core in-crowd understands.
What we are trying to achieve is to provide you with straightforward, readable news stories, unique analysis and invaluable insights in what is happening in the Australian and global financial markets. Things you won’t find anywhere else. And if you do, we are confident you will prefer to read our report about it first.
We have set ourselves a lofty goal: making finance accessible to everyone. Throughout our stories, you will find references to literature, pop music, contemporary history, other cultures, our own past and general knowledge we all know but tend to forget too often and too easily. Our biggest compliment? “I had a good old fashioned belly laugh when I read your last story.”
We think we are unique. (So far we haven’t seen anyone else doing something similar). But we are also way too down to earth to start taking anything for granted.
We work hard. Your support – in any form – is greatly appreciated. We need each one of you. We hope you can assist us in achieving our goals, and realizing our dream.
We hope you’ll share that dream. It comprises a fully integrated news service with the FN Arena database, with lots and lots of extra features, all in a modern, 21st century framework. Things that will make you say why didn’t anyone else think about this before?
It is not a question to be answered by us.
All we ask for at this point in time is stick with us. FN Arena News is a vision in development. We’ve only just started.
We hope you will share this future with us.
Your editor,
Rudi Filapek-Vandyck
