It’s a big week economically in various locations next week. In Australia we’ll see September quarter inflation data, the UK will release its September quarter GDP result and the ECB will hold a policy meeting. The question for skittish Aussie dollar traders regarding inflation is one of is there any? The UK economy remains in a state of Brexit uncertainty, and will Mario Draghi finally concede the strength of the EU recovery?

US data next week include the Chicago Fed national and Richmond Fed indices, durable goods, new and pending home sales and house prices and a flash estimate of October manufacturing PMI.

Japan and the eurozone will also flash.

New Zealand is closed on Monday to mourn the All Blacks’ loss to the Wallabies this weekend.

It’s another busy week of quarterly reports and AGMs on the local stock market. Fortescue Metals ((FMG)), Independence Group ((IGO)) and Newcrest Mining ((NCM)) are among those providing production reports, and Goodman Group ((GMG)) and Mirvac ((MGR)) offer quarterly updates.

Next week’s AGM holders include Super Retail ((SUL)), Vocus ((VOC)), Stockland ((SGP)), Whitehaven ((WHC)), Blackmores ((BKL)), Challenger ((CGF)), JB Hi-Fi ((JBH)) and Tatts ((TTS)), and there’s likely to be a few curly questions asked at Crown’s ((CWN)) bash.

The week culminates in ANZ Bank’s ((ANZ)) earnings result on Friday.
